It will then extract to c:\fr\prog\FRW.EXE, which is your FILPAC program file. (Change the default drive from C: to the proper drive letter if you're on a network.) |
| Filpac Setup | March 15, 2010 | Download this if you're installing the program for the first time or if you haven't yet downloaded this updated version. | |
| FEC Electronic Filing Software | July 8, 2009 | 6.4 | Includes the FEC-provided programs to Validate, Print and Upload the *.FEC file generated by the FILPAC program. (When you will open this downloaded file, it will extract by default to the \FR folder.) |
| Frontrunner | July 24, 2010 | 8.58 | IMPORTANT: If you're using BOTH Frontrunner and Filpac, make sure you install and run the current version of FILPAC first. |
When you double-click on the the name of the item to be downloaded, you'll get a pop-up box asking if you wish to run or save the file. Always choose Run.
Downloading will take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on your internet connection.
You'll get a security warning. Go ahead and ignore it. (You'll just have to trust us!)
Once the downloading is complete, you'll get the following box:
Here is where it can get a bit confusing. If yours is a single-user system, then the Filpac system should be stored in your FR folder, so all you need to do is click Unzip.
However, if you're on a network, you need to change the C:
to the appropriate network drive letter, as follows:
In this example, the network drive is Z. If you're not sure of your network drive, here's an easy way to find out: Right-click on the shortcut that you use to open the Filpac program. Go to Properties. Under the Shortcut tab, look at the Target. It will start with the proper drive letter, which is the one you should enter into the WinZip box above.
If successful, you'll get a box that says "... files unzipped successfully." If you get an error that starts with "cannot create output file", it probably means that your Filpac program is open, either on your computer or on the network. Close all instances of the Filpac program before attempting to download again.
